Proof of Vacccination
As of Sunday, February 27, 2021 Riverside United Church will be requiring proof of vaccination by enhanced vaccine certificate with a QR code along with valid ID.
To allow individuals to more actively participate in worship, singing (as well as responsive/unison prayers) will be permitted while continuing to wear masks.
To protect our congregation, all other existing COVID protocols will remain in effect such as pre-registration, capacity limits, physical distancing, wearing masks at all times, no handshaking or passing of the peace and exiting the building immediately after worship.
Council will continue to monitor this situation and protocols may be subject to change.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols - UPDATE (Feb 24, 2022)
The province is lifting the requirement for vaccine passports as of March 1st but many institutions in London will maintain COVID-19 proof of vaccination protocols for the next few months.
The Middlesex/London Public Health Unit supports ’the ongoing use of vaccine mandates, for employees, patrons, clients or visitors in settings where people gather.’
Council recommends that we continue to follow public health guidelines: vaccinations, including the third dose/booster, physical distancing, and wearing masks at all times. Accordingly, Riverside’s Council has decided to maintain all existing COVID-19 safety protocols for now subject to review during the mid-March Council meeting.
It is our responsibility as a community of faith to ensure that our church remains as safe as possible for our staff, the congregation, and the community we serve.
Thank you.
Bill Gray, Council Chair
