Rev. Michelle Owens

Rev. Michelle Owens is a Diaconal Minister in the United Church of Canada, and in addition to congregational ministry, she has served as denominational staff and the principal of the Centre for Christian Studies theological school.  She is often accompanied by a puppet in worship or children’s ministry. 

Rev. Rob Apgar-Taylor

Rev Dr Rob Apgar-Taylor joined the Riverside ministry team in May of 2025. Rev Rob is originally from the Hudson Valley of New York and spent the last 30 years of ministry in the US states of Pennsylvania, Utah, and Maryland before coming to Canada in 2022. He did undergraduate studies at the University of Albany and the Julian Maximillian Universität in Würzburg, Germany, his Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary in Washington DC, and his Doctor of Ministry with a focus in Spirituality from Princeton Seminary. Rev Rob is proud to serve the South West London ministry team of Wesley-Knox, Riverside, Calvary and White Oaks United Churches. He is the father of 5 grown children and the grandfather of 12 grandchildren. He lives in London with his husband, Rob Apgar.

As Director of Music, Chris is an integral leader of our music and worship teams. He has completed his Masters in Music Composition at Western University and is an accomplished classical pianist. He currently leads our choir, bell choir, and provides music during our worship services.

Sydney Brouillard-Coyle

Sydney Brouillard-Coyle (Ney/Nem/Nir) is a passionate and enthusiastic musician, community activist, and educator. In addition to being a published author (A Pocket Guide to Pronouns), Sydney is a current PhD student at Western University this fall for a PhD in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. Ney hold a Masters of Arts in Social Justice & Community Engagement, a Bachelor of Arts in Women & Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Music. Ney have been playing piano since the age of 6, and are particularly experienced in pop, jazz, and classical performance.
