M6:8 DISCIPLESHIP STORIES
Each year, the M6:8 Committee arranges at least one Mission Sunday Service, focusing on outreach and social justice. For the past few years we have run programs that focused on using the congregation’s financial resources to support a number of worthy causes.
This year, M6:8 has chosen to promote Discipleship. Our focus in not on how we can use our dollars and cents, but the actions we can take with our minutes and hours.
Those actions may be serving on church committees, volunteering in the community, participating in protests and politics or caring for friends, family and loved ones.
Throughout the remainder of the year, the M6:8 committee will be making brief presentations on how those of us worshipping at Riverside are using their time to engage in Discipleship. We hope that highlighting what is already being done will inspire us all to get involved.
If you would like to share your story, or know someone else in the congregation whose story should shared, please speak to a member of the M6:8 Committee.
