Lent 2022 Opportunities

The season of Lent begins this year on March 2 (Ash Wednesday) and ends on April 14 (Maundy Thursday)
Study Series
Starting Feb 24 you are invited to join us online (Thursday evenings from 7 - 8:30 pm) OR participate at your own pace through the video series. This year we will explore the Living The Questions series "ProFuture Faith" featuring eco-theologian, author, and TEDx speaker, Rev. Michael Dowd. This dynamic internet-based course bridges the gap between head and heart, science and faith. Click here to register.
Sharing & Caring Calendar
Announcing the Lenten Sharing and Caring Calendar. Brought to you by your M6:8 Outreach Committee
Starting March 2nd, you are invited to participate in our first ever “Lenten Sharing and Caring Calendar”. The idea being that it is helpful to give something at lent as opposed to the traditional giving up something.
This Lenten calendar (presented here) shows us that we can collect a food item daily (or weekly if preferred) through the six weeks of Lent with the intent that at the end of those six weeks (April 11th) we would have collected a bundle of food stuffs for donation to those in need. M6:8 would direct these goods on Riverside’s behalf to St Paul’s Social Services and the NWLRC.
You may want to form a team to share the load. Whatever makes the project fun and possible!
M6:8 would really appreciate knowing the names of those interested and committed to this project so we encourage you to sign up with Greg Schneider (he/him) tel/text 519 661 7548 or Teri Levack tel/text 519 857 2473.
M6:8 will have parking lot pick ups (March 20th 9:30-10:00 and 11:30-12, and April 10th between 11:30 and 12). If storing your Lenten Calendar collection over this extended period of time is difficult, we would be happy to come to your home and pick up your items. You can make those arrangements by calling Greg Schneider.
As always, thank you for your support. M6:8
