Rev. Christina Paradela
We are delighted to welcome Rev. Christina Paradela as our new Intentional Interim Minister. Christina has served as a diaconal minister for over 20 years in seven churches, as well as a Chaplain at a long-term care facility. She has served as chair of Presbytery and as president of Conference in Hamilton, as well as on the Transition Commission during the change in governance to Regional Councils. We will benefit from all those experiences. Christina has a passion for social justice and works toward positive solutions while encouraging trust and understanding. Christina’s creative side is nourished by her interest in pottery, knitting, sewing, felting and water colour painting. Her six years in Brazil taught her to appreciate strong coffee, and her adult daughter, Nicolette, continues to teach her life's lessons and keeps her laughing.

Rob is a member of Riverside United Church who brings a love of music to his role as Director of the 844 Music. He plays piano and sings while he leads the band and fellow worshippers in song each Sunday.

Chris is an integral part of our music and worship team. He is working on his Masters in Music Composition at Western and has taken on the role of choir leader and musician for our 10:30 worship services.
Children’s Ministry
Callie Giffin
SUNDAY SCHOOL COORDINATOR (supply)
Callie will be leading the children as their new Sunday School Coordinator from April 30 to June 25. Callie’s family has been attending Riverside for quite some time and she is very familiar with the Sunday School program.
Callie has just completed her 3rd year at Western University & King’s College in the program of Bachelor of Health Science: Honours Double Major in Rehabilitative Science & Disability Studies. She has held several different positions at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee including “Inclusion at Camp (IAC) Coordinator & Healthcare Assistant”, “Meaningful Recreation Coordinator” and “Camp Counsellor”. She has also worked at Riverside as a counsellor and kitchen staff for the winter and March Break Day Camps for a couple of years, and has taught ballet to young girls for many years. She has also done lots of babysitting and is certified in First Aid and CPR.
